Early Learning Library

Smart Kidz Club and the University of Delaware are collaborating to develop an evidence-based, e-learning solution and a digital library for Head Start centers, preschools, and early education centers. This tool is aimed at building early literacy, language development, phonological awareness, and reading skills among children under 5 years. This project's mission is to provide all children with an equitable and effective educational tool that enhances language and literacy development, and ultimately school success. The goals are to reduce the digital divide and achievement gaps that exist across schools and communities by helping parents and educators provide evidence-based instruction with authentic texts to children of all ages and abilities.

We are actively partnering with Head Start programs and Early Learning Centers to pilot this app with children who are culturally and linguistically diverse, learning English as an additional language, and living in lower socioeconomic situations.
